Save Our Countryside

I/we believe that the local plan review target of building 794 houses a year across our area is too high and a threat to the future of our countryside.

Our local plan needs to reflect genuine local need, not Conservative Government targets.

I/we call on the local plan review to propose building fewer houses on large greenfield sites and instead concentrate on smaller scale developments, urban brownfield sites and getting unused homes back into use.

The new Dorset Unitary Council should use its borrowing powers to build far more genuinely affordable homes for rent and to buy for local people.
