Ros Kayes

Everyone knows someone who’s been helped by Ros and we desperately need to re-elect her to Dorset County Council in this time of cuts to public services which she has a huge record of successfully defending. Whether it's housing, planning, benefits or disability issues Ros has a phenomenal reputation for taking up people's problems and working with other parties to get things done.

Ros helped save Bridport Foyer, prevent cuts to our hospital, set up the Dorset Health Campaign and is leading the campaign against GP closures. She’s helped stop on-street parking charges, remove the West Bay pinch point, save the Bridport to Yeovil bus and secured a £225,000 to teach green skills in the Bridport area. She chairs Bridport Community Land Trust, actively working to achieve more affordable housing. Ros developed the plan to save Bridport Youth Centre, secured mental health funding for the Harmony centre; and set up Skills Training Bridport which runs the local job club.
