Residents in West Dorset have until 5pm on 11th November to re-register on the housing list – those who have not re-registered by the 11th will not be on the new housing list.
The reason for this is because councils have now reviewed the polices which set out how social housing is allocated. Under the new changes in order to remain or join the register:
- Applicants must have a local connection to the authority to which they are applying
- Applicants must be deemed as not having the financial means to address their housing situation
- Applicants must not be adequately housed already
