Matthew is married to Anne and they have two children. They currently live in Sherborne having moved from Yetminster. He is a self-employed gardener covering Sherborne and the surrounding villages and also a District and Town Councillor in Sherborne.
Matt says, “I am standing for re-election so I can continue representing the communities within Sherborne Rural, to help the voices of local residents to be heard and to continue to fight for the services and infrastructure that are needed.
Matt has achieved many things since his election to the County Council in June 2016 including helping to save the Registrars Service from being moved from Sherborne to Dorchester. He has managed to get Boot Lane and Church Road in Thornford resurfaced. Matt continues to press for the mountain of potholes and blocked drains in our area to be fixed. He has recently managed to get DCC Highways to investigate the flooding issue on the A30 near Over Compton and improvement work has been carried out.
