Cllr Caroline Payne

Caroline has lived in Beaminster for 19 years and worked part time at Salway Ash School and as a supply teacher. She fund raises for the Arthritis Research Council and has been on the local committee for 16 years.

A governor at Beaminster School for ten years, Caroline was Chairman for five years and still chairs the Curriculum Committee.

Before moving here Caroline worked as a primary school teacher for nine years for the ILEA before accompanying her husband to Nepal. While he managed clinics for patients with T.B. and leprosy she taught English to Nepali children.

Caroline became a District Councillor for Beaminster in 2003 and represents the Council at Age Concern in Bridport and at Beaminster Museum Trust.

Recently asked to become a Trustee on Beaminster Playgroup Board she is their representative on the Beaminster Community Centre Partnership.
