Mike McGuinness
Mike McGuinness has lived in Bradford Peverell for nearly 30 years. A married man with three daughters and nine grandchildren, he is an active member of the local community; he set up a local community centre and served as a school governor.
He was in the Army, before leaving to work in Africa building roads and training local people, and supervising a technical high school in Iran. On his return to England he worked for a educational charity before retiring.
Mike is a keen sailor, having started at an early age sailing from France to England single-handed; he also likes to grow his own plants from seed.
He has campaigned over a number of years against the Council Tax and is very concerned about how the council spends taxpayers’ money.
