Cllr Stella Jones
Stella has been a Dorchester Councillor for over 30 years and has twice been the Mayor. She is involved in many local organisations and is well known for trying to help people sort out council problems. For the past few years she has chaired the Town Council committee overseeing the refurbishment of the Borough Gardens and is a member of the District Council Planning Committee. Married to Trevor, Stella is a teacher at Damers First School and a mother of four grown up children - now enjoying her grandchildren. She has campaigned for years for better facilities for children and families (such as new play equipment and improved pedestrian crossings) and is very concerned about the lack of affordable housing in Dorchester.
