Cllr Tim Harries

Tim HarriesTim is married to Anita (a local girl whose father, Lionel, was a Director of Dorchester F.C.) and they have five children and three grandchildren between them. Tim was educated at Hardye’s School and has lived in and around Dorchester all his life. His father, a retired officer with the Devon and Dorset Regiment, and mother still live in Puddletown. Tim was first elected to Dorchester Town Council in 1987 and has twice been Mayor. He has also been a member of West Dorset District Council since 1991 and currently serves on the environment and development control committees. “Saving our public toilets, libraries and post offices are particular concerns of mine, as is road safety and congestion,” said Tim. “I would very much like to carry on serving local people.”
