Cllr Richard Biggs
Richard has served as a Town Councillor since 1993 and has twice been Mayor. He has lived here nearly all his life and is also a County Cllr for Dorchester (since 1997). He has lived in Bridport Road with his wife Carolyn since 1984. Richard has had a varied career, starting as an electrician. For the last two years he has worked as a Business Risk Manager with the MOD in Sherborne. Richard loves running, walking and cycling in and around the county town. He is excited by the growth of the town as he sees it opening up more potential for viable facilities within the town for all ages. Richard thinks the Town Council’s excellent refurbishment of the Borough Gardens shows the way to what can be achieved given the will.
