A corner turned?

The No. 99 bus could serve nearly 200 properties in Drimpton and Greenham. The bus company has always said that the corner at Crewkerne Road made this impossible. New road markings mean the bus can now take that corner safely. District Council Candidate Eddie Gerrard has started a campaign to get this bus back!

The 3 farms and 5 houses on the present route could connect with the bus at Clapton. Does the Broadwindsor District Councillor know that, at no extra cost in distance and time to the bus company, the residents of Drimpton and Greenham could have their service restored? If so, why is Lib Dem local candidate Eddie Gerrard the only one fighting their corner?

You can sign Eddie's petition to Stagecoach (copies to Dorset County Council and Somerset County Council) by phone on (01308) 867737 or e-mail elgarpomp@btinternet.com. Or do so at the Methodist Church Hall, Drimpton on March 25th between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., when you can meet Eddie and Ros Kayes, Lib Dem. Parliamentary candidate for West Dorset.

Ros has a track record of saving bus services that have been threatened. Come and explain how a restored bus service would help you!
